‘Pistolet’ glass scent bottle in a gilded metal case

So called “pistolet” scent bottle, referring to the shape of the small striped glass blown bottle; they were fitted with a rubber atomizer bulb (missing) and they sold in a fancy silvered metal case lined with red velvet which follows the shape of the atomizer; in this case there is a courtesy scene showing a couple in a 18th Century costume: the woman is sitting on a bench, the man indicates a statue of Cupid, god of Love; these bottles were first manufactured by Mokins of Paris.
