Napoleon’s memento scent bottle, bearing the label “FONTAINBLEU” and the Emperor’s profile from a sculture by David D’Anges. All around and in the back are spreaded bees and fleur de lys, both figured that stylized. Hinged perforated cap and suspension chain with little ring. Napoleon Bonaparte had a closely linked history to Fontainebleau: it was one of his favourite residences after he restored and refurnished it. Here he signd his abdication and bade farewell to his Guard on the Horseshoe Staircase of the Château, before going into exile, on 20 April 1814.
