Red glass teardrop scent souvenir of the The Palace of Electricity, Paris Expo 1900

Red glass tear shaped scent bottle showing a white cartouche showing The Palace of Electricity, due to Mr. Hénard while the Château d’Eau was the work of Mr. Paulin, it is at the bottom of the Champ de Mars. The facade, light and complicated, seems the unreal architecture of a palace of the Thousand and One Nights: it is a lace of glass and metal, studded with precious stones. At the top stands the very image of the goddess, standing on a chariot hitched with hippogriph and haloed whole with a crystal sun. In front of the Palace, rises a monumental Château d’Eau: from its porch springs cascades which roll and spread, from degree to degree, to the lawns of the Champ de Mars.
