Ormolu and enamel chatelaine scent bottle of bulbous form, showing on the front a kneeling woman in an exotic costume. Under the neck a decor of engraved dots form a word in a strange alphabet. The back is engraved with a large leaf. The hinged top is enamelled with a green Lotus Leaf. Inner glass stopper and suspension chain Chinoiserie was the European Interpretation and Imitation of Chinese Artistic Traditions especially the Decorative Arts which Started in the 17th Century but Persisted into the 19th and 20th Centuries.
