Palais Royal presentation with porcelain statuettes and opaline scent bottle

Palais Royal presentation on a marble base featuring two porcelain statuettes of a girl and a boy in 18th centurt costumes. Probably an engagement or wedding present because of their particular position, found in many statuettes of nineteenth-century production: it is an attitude of tender and modest love, typical of a young couple, according to the canons of the time. In the center there is a porcelain scent bottle in the same colours (pink and white) of th two figures. The supports and the frame of ornate mirror are made in ormolu (gilt bronze). Possibly by Vion et Baury factory.
