Chelsea porcelain scent-bottle modelled as a cluster of plums and other fruits with leaves, gilt metal mount and stopper fashioned as an intricate knot. It is nested in a in brown leather fitted case, with a note attached saying ‘best wishes from The Queen’, unfortunately with no stamps. Provenance, descent from a titled English family of note. Formed by a shaded puce cherry, an iron-red cherry, a purple plum, five yellow-tinged iron-red strawberries and a tiny yellow-centered white blossom, five puce berries and three iron-red berries, all with their shaded green foliage and stems surrounding a leaf-enclosed yellow bud at the bottom. The bottle neck and stopper mounted in silver gilt.
