Coquilla nut scent bottle featuring two scenes from Esoph tale “The stork and the fox”

Scent bottle carved in Coquilla nut, featuring two scenes from Esoph tale “The stork and the fox”. Embossed silver screw cap with suspnsion ring. It is a nut of a South American palm, Attalea funifera, having a very hard brown shell used in turnery. It was worked by sailors or by convicts: the latter worked to pass the time but mainly to get some money to improve their lives while sailors worked these natural materials during their long journeys. These objects are fine examples of folk art.
