Metal vinaigrette shaped as a claw holding a ball

Metal vinaigrette shaped as a claw holding a ball. Perforated hinged cap with inner glass stopper. No marks. The antique symbol of the dragon’s claw holding a pearl has been translated into the more European eagle’s claw holding a ball. This motif was greatly used in English 18th-century furniture but it’s quite unusual for a vinaigrette.
