“Pistolet” glass scent bottle in a gilt metal case with courting scene

So called “pistolet” scent bottle, referring to the shape of the small striped glass blown bottle. They were fitted with a rubber atomizer bulb (missing) and they sold in a fancy silvered metal case lined with red velvet which follows the shape of the atomizer. In this case there is a courting scene showing a couple in a 18th Century costume: the woman is sitting on a bench, the man indicates a statue of Cupid, god of Love. These bottles were first manufactured by Mokins of Paris.
