An extremely rare scent bottle crafted from a lampwork pearl known as “pink mother-of-pearl,” first produced by Franchini in 1827, in which his wife Elisabetta Lazzari “distinguished herself for her taste and excellence” (from Zanetti – Lavori alla lucerna – cit. p. 28).
This type of lampwork pearl is produced with peaks formed by twisting very thin glass threads and was copied by other master glassmakers in subsequent years. The bottle comes complete with a metal stopper with cork, a chain, and a wire collar.
