Vanity case by Marcel Franck in the form of a camera comprising a powder compact, lipstick and perfume atomiser.

Vanity case by Marcel Franck marketed under the trade name “Le Kid”. It is in the form of a camera and comprises of powder compact, lipstick and perfume atomiser. It is made in brass, covered with a sort of python skin. To the centre at the front of the case is a circular hinged lid which opens to access the powder well beneath, containing a yellow powder pouf. Under the lid is the original mirror. The top of the case has two “winders”. The smaller on the left is the lipstick tube which pulls out, no lipstick is present and the taller winder is the perfume atomiser. This opens by pressing on the top and turning in a counter clockwise direction and the plunger pops open. It closes by pressing down on the top and turning clockwise until it locks back into place. It is marked on the lipstick tube ‘Made in France, the atomiser is marked ‘Le Kid Depose France’ and the bottom of the case is marked ‘Vanity Kid Made in France’.
