Three years ago, we founded the Italian chapter of the IPBA in Venice, the International Association of Perfume, Face Powder, and other Perfume-related Objects.
To get to know each other and each other, I decided to organize an event involving Italian and international collectors.
IPBA President Teri Wirth, Vice President Afonso Oliveira, and Jeffrey Sanfilippo will be in attendance. After designing and inaugurating the world’s largest perfume museum in Chicago, Sanfilippo has now purchased the Perfume Museum in Milan and is renovating a building in the city center to open a new museum.
The October event will take place as follows:
Saturday, October 18: Morning arrival, with accommodations in local hostels, hotels, and B&Bs for those staying.
At 10:00 a.m., anyone interested can visit my collection: 1,200 antique decorative bottles, from Roman ointment jars to 1940.
At 3:00 p.m., a lecture will be held in a dedicated room: nine collectors will illustrate aspects of their collections.
At 6:30 p.m., a link-up with the IPBA International Zoom Meeting and other international collectors.
Sunday, October 20th: Starting at 8:00 a.m., tables can be set up and collectors can begin trading. The market will open to the public at 10:00 a.m. The event will conclude around 5:00 p.m.
