Unusual heart-shaped cointainer (etui) of nacre inlaid in silver, decorated in Rococo Style with a work called “piqué”. It opens to reveal a lined red velvet nest and a small clear glass bottle, with inner glass stopper and silver screw cap. Under the base it retains the original gilt silver inlaid.
The decoration on the lid, which depicts a man with a hat raised on his head, is difficult to read: perhaps a form of greeting or respect.
